Emergency Pedagogy Program

The Emergency and Trauma Pedagogy training can be joined at any time, starting with any module, and is complete when all thirteen modules have been completed. The participant will receive a certificate for each module attended. (small fee applies)

General Information

WISC offers the Emergency PedagogyCourse, which consists of thirteen individual three-day long intensives (modules) spread out over three years. The modules can be taken sequentially, but this is not compulsory. After successful completion of each module, the participant will receive a certificate. If the participant has successfully completed all thirteen modules, a complete certificate can be obtained.

The Emergency Pedagogy without Borders Organization, under the guidance of Bernd Ruf, and with Reinaldo Nascimento has been helping traumatized children and young people to process their experiences. The missions around the world are supplemented by national and international seminars. They are an important part of disaster preparedness and at the same time build up the network of global crisis intervention teams.

The prerequisite for certification is regular participation in a course. The certificates are given to the participants via the regional groups, but are issued and signed by the Friends of Waldorf Education.

Module 5: Focuses on acute, crisis-intervention, and stabilization techniques for traumatized children, covering topics like school shootings, stabbings, and severe accidents. It addresses trauma's effect on development, sensory systems, and intergenerational transmission.
